HORIZON BIZ CONSULTANCY
E-invoicing is coming, and the real question is whether your systems, data and teams are ready. Answer 10 simple questions and find out where you stand.
Takes 2–3 minutes. No technical knowledge needed. Your result comes straight after you submit.
E-invoicing isn’t only a new invoice format. It touches how you create invoices, where your customer and VAT data sits, who is responsible for what, and how your system talks to the government platform.
A gap in any one of these can slow everything else down: a missing field on an invoice template, customer records that don’t match across systems, or Finance, Tax and IT each assuming someone else has it covered.
This check looks at all of it together and shows you what is in good shape and what needs attention first. It’s a starting point, not an audit.
01
How invoices are created and sent today, and how many you issue in a year.
02
Whether customer, supplier and VAT details are accurate, consistent and ready to use.
03
Whether your invoices already carry the mandatory e-invoicing data fields.
04
Whether Finance, Tax and IT have talked it through and know who is doing what.
05
How e-invoicing changes your existing invoicing arrangements with them.
06
Where you are in implementation, and whether user acceptance testing is planned, including credit notes, cancellations and adjustments.
You still invoice through Excel, PDFs or manual emails.
You use an ERP, but haven’t checked it can produce the required data fields.
Your customer and supplier data lives in different systems.
Finance, Tax and IT haven’t sat down together yet.
You’re choosing a system or service provider and want to know if the groundwork is in place.
You’ve started implementation and want a second look before go-live.
UAE e-invoicing is rolling out in phases. Based on the latest published timelines, businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more are expected to go live on 1 January 2027, and other in-scope businesses on 1 July 2027. An Accredited Service Provider (ASP) must be appointed before go-live, and missed deadlines can attract penalties.
Whichever group you’re in, find the gaps while there’s still time to fix them without rushing.

You’ll land in one of four stages. Wherever you land, you’ll know what to do next.
Key foundations are in place. Focus on integration, testing, controls and final go-live readiness.
You’ve made a start, but some areas need work, usually data, systems, process mapping, ownership or planning.
The groundwork is still to be done. Invoice data, system capability, transaction flows and responsibilities are good places to begin.
You’re at the beginning, or several areas haven’t been looked at. That’s normal. Start with scope, systems, data and a simple roadmap.
We’ve been in accounting and tax for over 60 years, and we’ve helped UAE businesses through VAT since it began. We know how a tax change feels from the inside: new rules, new systems, and a team that still has a business to run.
Our approach hasn’t changed. We keep things practical, explain them in plain language and stay until the work is done. Our motto says it best: “Client should never fail.”
No. It’s a quick first check. It doesn’t replace a formal compliance assessment, tax opinion or legal opinion.
Not at all. Every question is in everyday business language, and there’s a “not sure” option where you might need it.
Pick the closest option. If you haven’t looked at something yet, that’s useful to know. It tells us where to start.
Not formally. It’s a readiness check, not a confirmation of applicability. Our team can help you confirm that separately.
We only use your details to share your result and follow up if you’d like us to.
No. But if your result shows areas that need attention, we’re happy to walk you through them.
This questionnaire is an initial readiness check only. It is not a formal compliance assessment, tax opinion, legal opinion, or confirmation of e-invoicing applicability.
